Digital applications in museum/heritage education

In the context of my work for the Dutch national institution for culture education (LKCA) I was involved in the use of digital applications in heritage / culture education since last February. How to get more focus in the way we think about digital tools? For example by detecting the type of (didactic) role the digital elements do have in the learning process.
What kind of applications do work, depending the educational goals you want to meet as a heritage institution? When do they really have an added value?

On March 5. I conducted a workshop in Rotterdam, followed by a workshop in English for Belgium museum colleagues in Brussels on March 18. During an expert-meeting on June 6. in Utrecht the participants could make a next step in the direction of more conscious and successful ways of using digital options in the museum- and heritage field.
